For someone who has put Halo 3 as the ultimate FPS (first person shooter) game since watching it's trailer, I have played a game, which most would agree (even Ced), that is on par with Halo. Gears Of War, undoubtedly one of the most awesome games of the year. Although it's been in the market for almost a month now, it is still comes out tops. Gears Of War is basically about the earth being overrun by aliens, a.k.a. the Locust. Humanity obviously fends of it's attackers but to no avail, after which they predictably scorch the earth making 90% of the earth inhabitable. Gamers play as Marcus Fenix (picture below) who, with a band of other troops, try to wipe out the Locust (second picture below) with a super weapon designed by the military. Troops in the game are known as Gears and the Locust branch out to a number of troops which you all should find out yourselves. Bottom line, gamers must wipe out the locust with the superweapon. I've played and finished it twice and still can't wait to play it on Xbox Live with the world. I recommend that readers get the game and try it out. No Xbox 360 you say? Well, GET ONE!! But what about the PS3? Forget it!! Definately a great gaming experience for the avid gamer.
